Description and Objectives :

For decades, CQFA has offered technical courses tailored to aviation professionals such as aerospace engineers, flight simulation experts, training device designers, administrators, lawyers, economists, accountants andd others involved with air carriers, regulators, manufacturers, technical support organizations and insurers. To date, thousands have been successfully trained, sometimes discovering a whole operational world of which they were only vaguely aware. The benefits are immediate: the new knowledge and vocabulary directly applicable to their daily work, improved efficiency and productivity as well as enhanced comprehension risk and safety management.

CQFA's Commercial Aviation Basics for Professionals teaches the fundamentals of operating aircraft in commercial service. It explains flight crew and maintnance technician expectations, highlights flight risk and safety issues, and discusses national and international regulatory framesworks. Each course offers the opportunuty of demonstration and simulator sessions onboard a large jet jet all-glass flight training device (FTD) with a qualified captain. Our all-EFIS simulator with dual FMS is especially designed for this type of training and has complete advanced visual system.

Educational Approach:

All programs are adapted to your specific needs. Several approaches are offered, from 24-hour programs (Eight 3-hr evenings, for example) to 60-hour programs meeting for full days or evenings. All programs are available at our Dorval training center although courses may be given in your organization during or outside work hours.  Complete handouts are supplied to all participants, and a CQFA Certificate of Achievement.

Cancellation Period

Participant cancellations or requests to reschedule for another offering will be accepted at no charge if a notification is received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the course start date (by fax: (514) 300-3030 or e-mail: acp@cqfa.ca). Registrants who do not attend or do not complete the course ("no-shows") or who cancel or reschedule after the cancellation date will be invoiced according to the figure below.
